24 Sept 2021 Asia Pacific Regional Network for Road Safety Legislators meets to discuss issues around child road safety

Formed in August 2019, the Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Road Safety Legislators held its 2nd annual meeting on 24 September 2021 with a focus on children and young people. The meeting brought together Members of Parliaments (MPs), invited speakers from WHO Geneva, UN ESCAP, Safe Kids Malaysia, FIA Foundation, Global Road Safety Partnership and road safety community in the region in addition to staff from WHO Geneva, regional offices and country offices. Mr Chamnong, Chair reiterated his commitment to road safety for the people of Thailand and reminded participants to promote investment in road safety for children and young people and to adapt knowledge shared during the meeting to suit the context of their countries.
