
2017 Global Network for Road Safety Legislators launch Manifesto #4RoadSafety during the UN Global Road Safety Week urging support from members of parliament worldwide

The Global Network for Road Safety Legislators launched the Manifesto #4RoadSafety in London on 8 May 2017 as part of the Fourth UN Global Road Safety Week. One thousand parliamentarians worldwide are being urged to pledge support for ten priority road safety policy actions to help meet the UN’s target of halving road traffic deaths by 2020. The launch was opened by HRH Prince Michael of Kent, Patron of the Towards Zero Foundation, and included keynotes and supporting statements from Lord Robertson of Port Ellen, FIA Foundation Chairman; Jim Fitzpatrick, Global Network Council member; Etienne Krug, WHO Director; and David Ward, Senior Fellow at the Towards Zero Foundation.
