Terms of Use for Network for Road Safety Legislators online community
Purpose
The purpose of this Terms of Use is to promote the consistent use of and ethical conduct on the online community of legislators for road safety. See Terms of Reference of the online community of Legislators For Road Safety.
Definitions
Admin refers to WHO staff who moderate the online community of Legislators For Road Safety.
Users refers to registered members of the online community of Legislators for Road Safety .
Public refers to all other individuals who access the online community. Members of the public are only able to view aggregated information through visual representation available on the online community (e.g., number of members of parliament in the regional networks), profile of members of parliament (if this is made available for public view when registering) as well as view News and Events and information on the Media Centre posted by Users.
Aims of the online community
The aim of the online community is to exchange information, achievements, challenges and solutions on road safety among Legislators for Road Safety in a timely way. It is vital, however, that the online community is used appropriately.
Users must always, treat each other with respect – avoiding “spamming” with too much information, for example, and guarding against any behaviour that could be construed as harassment of any kind.
Becoming a User of the online community
If you are a member of parliament interested in joining the online community, you can do so by registering here. Please note that you will be automatically assigned to the relevant regional group based on your country selection when you create your User profile. Alternatively, you may also contact [email protected] stating your interest in joining along with your full name, country and contact email that you will use to create your profile. You will then receive an invitation.
Terms of use
The online community is a non-political, voluntary group of members of parliament who collaborate and share experiences across countries and regions on improving road safety. The online community is not intended for and should not be used for political purposes, such as fundraising, campaigning for office, or criticizing inappropriately government agencies or individuals.
Information must be shared in a professional matter. Users should not post information that are sensitive or confidential.;This can include for example any internal government documents.
Users may use the online community for the following purposes:
Users agree to notify the administrator if there is information or conduct that is in violation of these terms of use. Failure to comply with these Terms of Use may result in various measures, including removal of access to the online community. For additional information contact [email protected].
