2019 Legislators in Latin America launch a regional network for road safety legislators

On September 9th,2019, the Latin American Parliamentary Network for Road Safety was formed, as a result of the efforts promoted by PAHO / WHO to strengthen and harmonize legislation on health and road safety. The Network seeks to share and promote innovative legislative actions that have proven useful in reducing injuries and deaths due to traffic collisions.

2019 Member of Parliament from African countries convene during the SSATP 14th Annual General Meeting

Members of Parliament along with ministers of transport and other international partners convened in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe to collaborate, strengthen partnerships, deliberate and find solutions to address road safety in the African context. Discussions focused on signing of the African Union Road Safety Charter, enforcement concerns and overall regional integration and policy harmonization.
